Before Flashing

Charge the phone at least 50% without interrupting the flashing process with a low battery. Interrupting the firmware installation means bricking your phone.

Xiaomi Flashing with Recovery Mode

Android phones with Android 8 and above cannot flash with a lower version.

Step – 1

  • First, turn off your Mi A2 Android Mobile by holding down the power button.
  • After that, Hold the Volume Up + Power Button together for a few seconds.

  • Then select the Language option.

  • Now choose to Wipe all data option and select Confirm.
  • Next, It will show Data Wiped Successfully.
  • Then select Back to Main Menu Option and Choose the Reboot option.
  • After complete, again with the volume buttons select the Reboot to system option and press the power button to confirm.
  • The Device will reboot and take several minutes to start.
Locate Downloaded Firmware file from Storage
  • In this step, Download the Firmware Update file and move to Drive storage {Do not put the file in the folder}.
  • After that, Locate Downloaded Firmware Update file from Storage.
  • Now tap on the Firmware Update file and install it.
  • Finally, your device should boot to the new version.

Step – 2

  • First turn on your Mi A2 Android Mobile, by holding down the power button.
  • After that, Go to the Settings menu on your mobile.
  • Now select the Software Update option.
  • In this step, Find and Select About phone.
  • Once that Selected, tap option System update.
  • Click the three dots at the top-right corner.
  • Now select Reboot to Recovery mode option.
  • Next, hold both Volume up and Power button at the same.
  • Then you will see the Recovery menu.
  • Choose Language English, using Volume buttons and press the Power button to confirm.
  • Then Choose Install update zip to System option.
  • In this step, Locate Downloaded Firmware file from Storage.
  • Tap on the Firmware file and install it and Your device will begin updating automatically.
  • After that, choose the Reboot to System option.
  • You have successfully updated your phone Firmware.

Exit Recovery mode

  • After you enter the Recovery Mode menu.
  • Use the volume buttons to select the Reboot system now option and press the power button to confirm.
  • After that, Your device will be rebooted automatically.
  • Now you have successfully exited Recovery mode

  • First download the flash file, flash tool, and USB drivers on your PC.
  • Now install the USB drivers for your Android phone.
  • Then launch the Flash tool on your PC.

  • Next, Connect your mobile to the PC with a USB cable.
