Download Kyocera Mobile Flash File

Kyocera phones — the rugged Torque line plus Japanese-carrier DIGNO, BASIO and Urbano models — are almost all Qualcomm-based. That matters: Kyocera firmware is flashed with Qualcomm’s QFIL / QPST tools in EDL (9008) mode, not the MediaTek SP Flash Tool you see in generic guides. Using the wrong tool is the most common way these phones get bricked.

When you need a Kyocera stock ROM

Flash stock firmware when your Kyocera is stuck on the logo, bootlooping, dead after a failed update, or you want to remove a custom ROM. If you only forgot your lock screen, you don’t need to flash — a hard reset is enough.

Before you start

  • Back up your data — flashing erases everything.
  • Install the Qualcomm USB drivers (see our USB drivers guide).
  • Charge the phone to at least 50%.
  • Use the stock ROM that exactly matches your model number. Firmware from a different model or carrier can permanently brick the device.

How to flash a Kyocera with QFIL

  • Install QPST/QFIL and the Qualcomm drivers on your PC.
  • Power the phone off, then boot it into EDL (9008) mode using its key combo while connecting the USB cable.
  • In QFIL, load the firehose programmer and the rawprogram/patch files from the ROM, then click Download.
  • Wait for “Download Succeed”, unplug, and boot — the first start can take several minutes.

Common problems

  • Not detected in EDL: reinstall the Qualcomm 9008 driver or try another USB port.
  • “Sahara fail”: the firehose doesn’t match your model — use the correct firmware.
  • Bootloop after flashing: you flashed firmware for a different variant.

FAQ

Does flashing remove the Google (FRP) lock?

No. Flashing stock firmware does not bypass FRP — you’ll still need the last Google account that was signed in.

Is flashing safe?

Yes, as long as you use firmware made for your exact model and don’t disconnect the phone mid-flash.
