Flash File Kyocera Basio

Kyocera BASIO phones (BASIO, BASIO2, BASIO3, BASIO4 — au/KDDI senior-friendly handsets) are Qualcomm-based and flash via QFIL in EDL (9008) mode. Match the firmware to your exact BASIO generation; they are not interchangeable.

When you need this

Flash the stock ROM when your BASIO is bootlooping, stuck on the logo, or dead after an update. A forgotten lock screen only needs a hard reset.

Before you start

  • Back up your data first.
  • Install the Qualcomm USB drivers (guide).
  • Get the ROM for your exact BASIO model and carrier.

How to flash with QFIL

  • Load the firehose programmer and rawprogram/patch XMLs in QFIL.
  • Boot the powered-off phone into EDL (9008) mode with its key combo and connect USB.
  • Click Download, wait for success, then boot.

Common problems

  • Not detected: reinstall Qualcomm 9008 drivers.
  • “Sahara fail”: wrong firehose for this BASIO generation.

FAQ

Will flashing bypass the Google lock?

No — flashing stock firmware does not remove FRP protection.
