If your phone has become slow, keeps freezing, is stuck in a boot loop, or you are about to sell it, a clean wipe is often the fastest fix. This guide walks you through the Oppo A60 hard reset step by step, covering both the menu-based factory reset inside Settings and the button-combo recovery method you can use when the screen will not respond or you are locked out. When you need a hard reset
A hard reset erases all user data and returns the phone to its out-of-the-box state. Consider it when:

Method 1 – factory reset from Settings
If the phone still turns on and you can unlock it, this is the cleanest way to perform an Oppo A60 hard reset:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Additional Settings (some ColorOS builds label this System Settings).
- Tap Back up and reset.
- Select Reset phone (or Erase all data).
- Choose Erase all data to remove everything, including downloaded apps and personal files.

Will a hard reset remove my SD card and SIM data?
A factory reset wipes the phone’s internal storage. It does not erase your SIM card, and it usually leaves a microSD card untouched unless you specifically choose to format external storage. To be safe, remove the SD card before resetting if you want to keep its contents.
I forgot my Google password after the reset. What now?
You must recover the Google account that was signed in before the wipe. Go to the Google account recovery page on another device, reset the password, then enter the new credentials during setup. There is no legitimate way to bypass FRP without the original account.
