If your phone has become slow, is stuck in a boot loop, won’t accept your screen lock, or you’re about to sell it, a Poco X7 hard reset wipes everything and returns the device to the way it came out of the box. Before you start
A factory reset is permanent. Take a few minutes to prepare:
- Charge the phone to at least 50 percent so it does not power off mid-wipe, which can cause errors.

- Know your Google account login. Because of FRP (Factory Reset Protection), you will need the Google account that was on the phone to set it up again after the reset.
Method 1 – factory reset from Settings
Use this when the phone still turns on and you can unlock it. This is the cleanest way to do a Poco X7 hard reset because it signs out of accounts properly.
- Open Settings.
- Tap About phone.
- Tap Factory reset (on some HyperOS builds this is under About phone > Reset options or Settings > Additional settings > Backup & reset).
- Tap Erase all data.
- Confirm, and enter your PIN, pattern, or password if prompted.
- If you are signed into a Mi account, you may be asked for that password too. Enter it to continue.

- Power the phone off completely. If it is unresponsive, hold the Power button for about 10 seconds to force it off.
- Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons together.
- When the Mi/Poco logo appears, release the Power button but keep holding Volume Up until the Recovery menu loads.
- Use the volume keys to move and the power key to select. Choose Wipe Data.
- Select Wipe All Data and confirm.

A note on the Google FRP lock
