The Jio Bharat is Jio’s newer 4G keypad phone. Like other feature phones it has no Android recovery menu, so you reset it from the on-screen menu. A factory reset restores it to its original state — useful when it’s frozen, sluggish, or you’re handing it on. Back up what you need first, as a reset clears saved contacts, messages and downloads.
Factory reset from the menu
- Open Settings from the main menu.
- Go to Device / Phone settings and find Reset or Restore factory settings.
- Confirm the reset. If a security code is requested, try the default 0000 or 1234 unless you set your own.
- The phone reboots and starts fresh.
What a reset clears
- Phone-stored contacts and messages (SIM contacts stay)
- Installed Jio apps and downloads
- Photos, tones and personalised settings
Forgot the lock code?
If you can’t get into the menu because of a forgotten phone-lock code, a keypad phone can’t be wiped with a button combination. Contact Jio support or a Jio store with proof of purchase. See also our factory reset any keypad phone guide.
FAQ
Will a reset delete my Jio number or balance?
No — only the phone’s memory is cleared. Your SIM, number and recharge are unaffected.
Does a reset remove a network/SIM lock?
No. A network lock can only be removed with an unlock code from the operator.
